Singapore HDB flats to be large-scale switch to LED lights
Singapore HDB flats are gradually switching to energy-saving LED lights. Closing before the end of this year, 1848, 11 towns in the whole island of Singapore HDB public space will be replaced with energy-saving LED lights, is expected to replace the scale of 330 000. Compared with fluorescent lamps, LED lamp life of approximately 50,000 hours, five times the fluorescent lamp. More importantly, the same brightness of the LED lights will save up to 60% of the electricity, can not only save government electricity costs, and an annual reduction of up to 10,000 metric tons of carbon emissions, equivalent to about 48 000 trees to absorb carbon dioxide. This will make Singapore an important step to the goal of a low carbon city.
