Seoul in 2014, about 800,000 public sector LED lighting program


Recently, South Korean media reported that Seoul, South Korea announced that investments in public places to install more LED lamps, and encourage private sector to further expand the scope of installation. Including public places such as subway stations and streets, 2018, the municipal government office all use LED lighting, to expect to reduce energy consumption and aid the LED lighting industry.

The Seoul government will expand this program in 2030 to the private sector is estimated that by 2014 about 800,000 LED lights will be installed in the public sector, another 70,000 LED lights will be installed in the private sector. It is reported that this will be the first city an annual saving of 1100 Gigabit watts of electricity and 120 billion won ($ 105 million).

The Seoul Metropolitan Government also plans to 2014 to establish a 1.32 million energy saving lamps intelligent lighting grid.
