The court ruled that Fairchild and its subsidiary PI does not infringe technology patents


December 21, 2012, Power Integrations announced that, after more than two years of patent litigation, the Suzhou Intermediate People's Court recently ruled that Power Integrations, Inc. did not infringe on any patent technology on Fairchild Semiconductor and its subsidiary System General.

In 2006, the U.S. federal district court finds that Fairchild infringe the Power Integrations four patents, and products for over 100 Fairchild infringement, issued a permanent restraining order. Also in 2006, the U.S. International Trade Commission finds that SG infringe two Power Integrations patents. Earlier this year, once again finds the Fairchild in violation of the two in 2006, the District Court judgment of infringement of the patent.
