The Seoul Semiconductor Verbatim launched the halogen replacement lamp LED chip technology

Since 2010, Verbatim Corporation (Verbatim) introduced in the lighting market portfolio of high-performance LED lights continue to increase. In order to meet the market demand for LED lights, which is closer to the characteristics of halogen lighting, Verbatim will launch a series of new LED products. Seoul Semiconductor (SSC) "nPola"

"NPola" from the the VIBO parent Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation dedicated gallium nitride (GaN) substrate for epitaxial growth of gallium nitride, and thus replace the sapphire or silicon carbide substrate. Seoul semiconductor patent "nPola" structure to minimize the defects in the active layer, so that the current density of the LED chips is 5 to 10 times higher than conventional chips. Therefore, with the same chip size can be achieved of more than 5 to 10 times the brightness of the output.

Verbatim Corporation (Verbatim) the first launch nPola LED lamp MR16 design will focus on the main goal is to replace 50W halogen MR16 lamps. With high brightness output and mimicking halogen beam characteristics combination of lighting designers and contractors will be both innovative design and the transformation of environmental characteristics of high-performance, energy-efficient LED products completely replace halogen lighting.

SSC Verbatim will continue to work together to jointly develop innovative LED lighting products.

The Verbatim LED the use nPola the will market in Japan Lighting Fair 2013 from January 16 to January 18 in 2013, and its large-scale production is expected to begin in March 2013.
